I have had the song “Trust and Obey,” on my mind and in my heart for the past two days. Last night, at the small group / house church that meets here in Brighton, someone's prayer spoke directly to that concept and after the prayer, I mentioned the song on my heart and we sang a couple of verses.
The song is an old classic, but the message is simple and true. So, on this Makeover Monday, in the middle of all of the holiday noise and cold temperatures, my encouragement is that you remember and put into practice the words to this powerful song:
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way.
While we do His good will, He abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, if we trust and obey.
