Faith pushed Abraham out of his comfort zone to leave home and move to a country he didn’t know... and his life was never the same.
Faith gave Esther the courage to go before King Xerxes to be the instrument through which her people could be saved... and the Jewish nation continues to celebrate her valor.
Faith allowed Noah to build an ark even though he had never seen a drop of rain... and his obedience changed the course of life for everyone.
No matter which example of faith we choose from Scripture or modern life, faith put into action is transformative.
When we step out on faith, our lives are never the same:
• Faith brings new understanding.
• Faith inspires us to take the next step.
• Faith sets aside the doubts.
Faith transforms our lives and the lives of those around us. Just as light changes everything it touches by its warmth and its brilliance, faith creates an impact that leaves everyone forever transformed.
Today, my step of faith takes the form of a trip to the Dominican Republic, along with other members of the Downtown Church of Christ. Thanks for joining me in prayer that God will use us to touch and bless the work there, especially Downtown missionary, Leah Mayhall.
