Every Scripture is God-breathed. He spoke the world into existence and breathed life into Adam and Eve’s lungs. In a similar way, God breathed out His words, carried on by the Holy Spirit, written down by prophets and other writers of the Bible.
Without these words of life, can we truly live?
The Bible continues to be relevant today and vital to everyday life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says,
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
This month, we are going Back to the Basics, focusing on the initial and essential teachings of Scripture. And as we lay the foundation for this theme, we must start with a foundation in the Word of God.
Iron Rose Sister Ministries (IRSM) has as its primary goal to equip women to connect to God and one another more deeply. That equipping cannot take place without going to the Bible, the source of our teaching and training. These words of God serve as an invitation to a deeper understanding of our relationships with God and one another. We can understand God’s Word in a deeper and more meaningful way for our growth.
Whether you are a new Christian, have been a Christian for years, or are seeking a relationship with Christ, there are verses in the Bible that specifically bring us to the foundational truths on which our faith is built.
This month’s blog theme is inspired by the series of studies IRSM plans to produce next year. The Rosebud Studies focus on the initial and essential teachings of Scripture—introductory studies that equip women to study God’s Word, and invite them to gain a more profound understanding of His Word, which, in turn, deepen our relationships with God and with one another.
They are called Rosebud Studies because we are focusing on the early growth of a Christian, just like the early growth of a rose.
