"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: ‘Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!’" - Revelation 7:9-12 NIV
We don’t talk or think about Heaven very often. Maybe it is because we are afraid of death. But I encourage you to think about your true home more often. There, we will experience the ultimate in community. There will be no racism, no jealousy, no social classes, no petty arguments, no power struggles, no gossip. All those barriers that hinder community here will disappear there. We will all be wearing the same clothing, robes made clean by His blood, and we will all be overcome with worship. On Sunday mornings when my church family sings “Salvation Belongs to our God”, I close my eyes, picture that scene in heaven and I am moved to tears. I can’t wait to be there, to experience that kind of community, and to worship Him with abandon.
