Pray about Everything! James 1:5, 5:13-18
Inspired by our 2025 theme, “Practice like a Wise Woman” (Mt 7:24), we encourage you to pray about it and practice a new way to pray. Jesus taught His followers to pray and fast in Matthew 6:5-18. Throughout the gospels, He modeled various prayer practices. The command to “pray continually” (1Th 5:17) does not specify how we pray, therefore we can see this as an invitation to pray in a variety of ways.
Prayer is not a checklist, but the daily prompts in this calendar can be a helpful way to listen to God’s heart (Bible verses referenced in the corner) and to join as one voice in certain areas that are on our heart as a ministry. Prayer is two-way communication. We should practice listening as much as we practice speaking. Thank you for listening and interceding on our behalf. Prayer affirms intentionality of relationship with the One who has all power and authority, the One through whom we receive guidance and wisdom to later put into practice.
