Butch Sandoval

Board Member

Butch Sandoval grew up as a child in Albuquerque, N.M. As a young teen he moved to Mendoza, Argentina where he met his wife Trish. They moved back to the Albuquerque area in 1981 where they both became Christians during a local door-knocking campaign (1984). In 1987 they moved to Denver, Colorado where they both went through the three-year program at The Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. In 1990, they began their ministry in foreign missions which lasted a little over 31 years. While on the mission field they served in Santiago, Chile; Mendoza, Argentina; Viña del Mar, Chile; and Cochabamba, Bolivia. In 2004, Butch served as the Visiting Professor of Missions at Harding University. Currently he serves as part-time associate minister with the Mid-County church of Christ in Troy, Ohio, while remaining very involved with the congregations in Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile. Butch and Trish have been married for 42 years and have two children, a daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren. There is a huge need for continued development of our sisters in Christ in the southern cone. It is an honor to serve with IRSM as it works to address this need.
